Robert Mars is the art director over at Zoo York skateboards and an accomplished artist in his own right. His art brings up nostalgia for an America that doesn't really exist anymore. A country driving its newly built interstate highways where you pass by one of a kind diners, hotels and gas stations. Today our roads are littered with Walmart, Ihop and Exxon stations built to spec. As regionalism becomes a thing of the past Mars' art brings us back to a time when different parts of US had a distinct identity that was comforting to locals and exiting to the eyes of visitors.
