Guerilla Bike Lane Painting

In Brooklyn a group of people were recently arrested for trying to repaint a bike lane that was recently removed. The usual lame excuses about limiting parking and hurting local businesses were used to justify removing the lane as if bike riders don't shop or something. The video includes the groups manifesto about the need for bike lanes to insure riders safety saying:

"Do not try to remove [bike lanes], or we will put them back for our own safety."

Around The World In 176 Days

British cyclist James Bowthorpe recently rode his bike across the globe and broke the world record in the process. Bowthorpe trekked over 18,000 miles without a support team on a trip that took him to twenty countries including France, Poland, Iran, India, Thailand, Australia and the United States. Averaging 103 miles per day Bowthorpe beat the old world record by 20 days. The purpose of the trip was to raise 1.8 million pounds for Parkinson research.
