Tokyo photographer Shinato Sato has to climb up rickety fire escapes braving high winds and a deadly fall to get his shots. Unlike observation decks that offer an unobstructed view with perfect composition for locals and tourists alike Sato captures a side of the city you wont find on a postcard. Instead these are scenes a worker or resident might see looking out their home or office window. Having climbed some fire escapes in my earlier days I can tell you this photographer is putting his life in serious danger to capture these amazing images.
