"Stick 'Em Up!"

This is a clip for the upcoming documentary "Stick 'Em Up!" which focuses on wheat pasting in Houston, Texas. Knowing what I do about Houston's gang culture and hard line police force this could be an interesting view.

This is for an exhibit Shiner Distribution out of England is having. Rumor is they have one of every board to come through the warehouse. Judging from the video there are some amazing decks involved.

Lost 365

The Lost 365 Project is artist Jared Stumpenhorst's goal to create art based on his favorite television show every day for a year. On his blog Stumpenhorst says "It is just a small tribute to what I consider to be the best show to ever be on television. Hopefully a few people might enjoy following along on my journey!!" I really enjoy trying to figure out what scene or episode each of his pieces reference.

R.I.P. Mark Linkous

Very sad news today the Mark Linkous who is best know for Sparklehorse has committed suicide. I saw Sparklehorse a few years back at ACL and really enjoyed it. His collaboration with Danger Mouse 'Dark Night of the Soul' was one of the best albums from last year.

Riding In Style (The Art Of Kevin Cyr)

I'm really loving these tagged up van paintings by artist Kevin Cyr. As time passes we are seeing less and less of the classic vans and work vehicles on the road. Kevin's art is in a way a record of these under appreciated vans that will help cement their place as classic American vehicles.

The Art Of David Mack

David Mack is one of the most sought after an original artist in the comic book industry. Even people who think comics are strictly for kids would have a hard time not looking through an issue featuring Mack's art and not being drawn in. He is the creator of his own series Kabuki and also the writer and artist of Marvel's Daredevil.

In this interview Mike calls the Democrats out for being "wussies" and tells Glenn Beck to "Fuck Off".

Edward Burtynsky's Amazing Photos

I'm not sure what planet Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky visits to get his amazing shots but I don't think it is the same one I live on. Factories stretch for miles with thousands of workers in matching pink and yellow uniforms, men with simple hand tools dismantle massive cargo ships and polluted rivers are a strange red color. The true genius in Burtynsky's photography is his ability to find beauty in man's ugly destruction of his environment.

Foals are Back!

This is a bit of a departure from the tightly wound post punk of their debut.

I Put A Spell On You (a song for Haiti)

As we all know 'We Are The World 2' happened and although for a good cause musically it left a lot to be desired. In comes Shane MacGowan of the Pogues with this all star and awesome remake of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' 'I Put A Spell On You'. The song features Nick Cave, Mick Jones (The Clash), Bobby Gillespie (Primal Scream), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Chrissie Hynde, Cait O’Riordon, Paloma Faith, Eliza Doolittle and Johnny Depp on guitar. Best of all, no autotune!
