Project London (Movie Trailer)

Project London: Multiply Teaser from Phil McCoy on Vimeo.

Very interesting concept on how to get an independent movie made in today's day and age:

Project London is an independent, no-budget, feature-length, live action movie with vivid, intense, and marrow-vibrating visual effects and animations created with the open source software Blender (and other traditional software) and 250 (or so) worldwide volunteers.

These photos are part of the famous photographer and conservationists Ansel Adams: The Mural Project 1941-1942. Superman VS. Muhammad Ali

In the fall of 1978 DC Comics released this issue in which the man from Krypton and Muhammad Ali went toe to toe in the ring. The basic premise is that Superman and Ali have to fight to determine who is Earth's mightiest hero in order to decide who will fight an alien races greatest warrior. With Superman stripped of his powers Ali of course wins the match.

Amazing Mountain Bike Footage

This makes me want to dig my bike out of the shed and do some big jumps and back flips this weekend. Of course I can do neither of those things so this video from Kranked will have to do.

The Story Of Bottled Water

Great video outlining just how ridiculous bottled water is. Whether its a quality and cleanliness issue or the damage it does to the environment bottled water is plain dumb.

The Art Of Raymond Pettibon

Raymond Pettibon is the brother to former Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn and is perhaps best know for his album covers and flyers for the band. Pettibon's raw drawings often include funny or disturbing captions that comment on the darker side of humanity.

From the greatest hits collection Swords.

Band You Should Know - Gang Of Four

Hailing from Leeds, England Gang Of Four were one of the original and most important post-punk bands. Their songs were driven by Dave Allen's bass guitar playing that was heavily influence by American Funk and Dub music from Jamaica. As can expected by a band that named themselves after a leftist faction of the Chinese Communist Party they wrote political songs dealing with heavy topics like war and poverty. There influence can be heard today in bands like Radio 4 and Bloc Party. Although the band is still performing only two of the original members remain.
