Coachella Gets TRASHed

Via Juxtapoz.
Global Inheritance is a non-profit group that essentially proposed the idea of having recycling bin art to Coachella way back. It was so successful it's first year, that they brought out nearly 110 bins the next year. Festivals used to not have recycling programs, and Eric wanted to create an awareness amongst the festival-goers, so they could start to have the mind set to recycle and not just throw away all the cans and bottles that are consumed at an event like Coachella. Eric Ritz really wants to get people's attention with the art bins. " It's just about getting people to take notice and get into the habit of recycling. Art’s a great medium because it inspires, like music, and it inspires lots of people. I think visually people get excited about what's happening.

Wizard Gets Tased At Coachella
Well this looks like another case of the cops inablity to deal with a situation without resorting to violence. In Europe the police there would have been able to resolve this shit nonviolently since it's pretty obvious that this kook is a threat to nobody.

The Stone Roses Reunite?

The British tabloid rag The Daily Mirror is reporting that the band is working out the details of a 21 date UK tour as well as an appearance at this years Coachella festival. Nothing has been confirmed yet by the band but if there is one thing we have learned over the past few years it's that reunion can be very lucrative for long beloved bands.

Some first thoughts.
1. Holy shit Leonard Cohen and My Bloody Valentine!!
2. What are the chances of Amy Winehouse showing up?
3. Yes, Superchunk!
4. What will Shepard Fairey be doing there?
5. Will Paul McCartney be doing his Firman thing?
6. The Killers, eh.
7. The Cure were kinda bad when I saw them in 2004.
