Tommy Guerrero - Future Primative 1985

This segment of Tommy G. skating the hills of San Fransisco made me want to move there when I was a kid. Years later I did move there and those hills are steeper than they look. Still skating the empty streets of China Town at 3 a.m. after a few too many pints is a good time.

Blue Vs. Red

Old school skateboarder and one half of the famed Powell Peralta skateboards Stacy Peralta tackles LA gang violence in his new movie. Peralta's last two movies Dogtown & Z Boys (in which he is involved in the story and Riding Giants) were about subjects close to him such as surfing and skateboarding. In Crips and Bloods: Made in America he steps out of his comfort zone and explores a world few of us really know. Look for the films limited release throughout the county in the coming weeks.

Classic Clip

This video is great in a couple of ways. First the classic skate footage from the Public Domain video is killer. I Especially like Ray Barbee's tricks, those no-complys make me want to go out and skate even though its 30 degrees outside. Second this song by McRad is one of the greatest Skate Punk tracks of all time. Video production advances be damned this shit is inspiring.

Classic Construction

The Powell Peralta team video The Search For Animal Chin might not have been the first skate video that I saw but it was the first to blow my mind. The Powell crew travel across the west coast and Hawaii in search of Won Ton "Animal" Chin and rip up every skate spot along the way. The highlight of the video is when they find the legendary Chin Ramp, a huge ramp with a secret.
